With the advent of comp-controlled multivision presentations in the 1980s, a pioneering Diarect system was developed at Kuvakulma. It transcended what the competitors were offering. Over the decades the operation has grown into a comprehensive business comprising the various sectors of picture and sound technology.

Specialization to IT and the development work devoted to it started to emerge from the mid-1990s onwards. It has given birth to the AVACK software and the AVACK 2000 user interface as well as for the current network-based presentation solutions for control room environments, for example. The photography shop business, which was located in Hervanta shopping center, was sold in 2001. In the spring 2005, the name of the company was changed to Avack Oy.

Avack Oy has developed from the Kuvakulmala Kulmala & Peltonen established in 1975 (,) to a significant nationwide organisation of experts providing communication solutions. The growth has been made possible by innovative expertise, the founders’ ability to foresee and visualise the progress in the field and by our customer-focused mode of operation.
